Letterheads come in A4 as standard which is 210mm wide x 297mm high.  You can also have letterheads printed in A5 size which measures 148mm wide x 210mm high.

Standard letterheads are printed from our Luton printshop onto 120gsm smooth white laser paper. Other options are available from 80gsm , 100gsm, and 160gsm.

If the information is still mostly correct, you can keep them as backups by crossing out the out-of-date info and writing in new text. If the letterheads are mostly inaccurate, we’d recommend recycling them.

We can arrange your letterhead design just as you wish. Choose whether to tuck all your contact details into one corner or put your vital info at the foot of the page, ready to remind your customers each time they turn over. Letterhead printing is available on a variety of paper types and thicknesses, so whether you opt for a lightweight 80gsm or a sturdier 120gsm is all down to your tastes.

At Jelprint Luton, the minimum order for letterhead printiing is 50 but bear in mind that the more you order, the cheaper the unit price is so we recommend getting a quote first.

Now you’ve got your measurements down pat, here are some other things to consider when designing your letterhead:

Maximise your logo
Your letterhead is more than just your contact information—it’s a representation of you and your brand. Consider your logo size for your letterhead or even think about dedicating one side solely to your logo.

Leave some white space
Don’t clutter your letterheads with too much text—if there are too many elements on the letterhead, they’ll all compete for the reader’s attention and nothing will stand out.

Find the right font
If there’s a specific font you’ve been using on your website or other marketing materials, bring that into your letterheads – consistency is key.

Organise your info
Your letterheads should give customers everything they need to contact you, find you online or locate your shop or office. Just remember to keep your design clutter-free and balanced with enough white space. 

Today, QR codes are still going strong as an affordable way to give potential customers more information about your business. Whether for contactless restaurant menus or website links, QR codes are now easier than ever to use. With most smartphones, you just need to position the code within your camera and a URL will automatically generate. When it comes to your small businesses, there are a lot of places you can add a QR code starting with your letterheads.
